  • My Logo

My logo connects my heritage to my purpose.

Pink horizons remind me to stay inspired and hopeful—to take a bold vision and build it authentically. The logo design draws from Punjabi phulkari and dhurrie patterns, incorporating a motif from a dhurrie my Nani Ji hand wove from cotton she grew and dyed. Four generations of feet have rested on the rug.

Her craftsmanship embodies one of my core values: authenticity. I believe that those who do the work with their own hands—those closest to the ground—carry the knowledge to craft solutions with lasting impact.

  • About Me

    CEO and Founder Jaskaran smiling

Over 20 years ago, with the support of an Echoing Green fellowship, I co-founded an international human rights nonprofit that changed the narrative on crimes against humanity in India, documenting over 5,300 disappearances and unlawful killings perpetrated by the police.

As a nonprofit leader, operations specialist, and lawyer with 25 years on the frontlines of human rights and civil rights advocacy, I have developed systems and strategies that transform and strengthen organizations. I bring a deeply personalized approach to every project—from documenting mass state crimes and supporting legal prosecutions, to producing an award-winning documentary, to advocating for LGBTQ+ youth. I have built an organization from the ground up and co-directed it for 20 years, helped mid-stage nonprofits establish stability and momentum, and developed systems and funding to strengthen the impact of volunteer-run organizations.

I received my B.A. from Yale and J.D. from Harvard Law School, and am a product of New Jersey public schools.
